LASER SCAN AND DETAIL DESIGN
Industrial Ally was enlisted to help the client develop a new Concrete Ready Mix plant on a greenfield site. The team was challenged to incorporate equipment for the batch plant which had been purchased several years prior. Since existing documentation was not reliable, a laser scan was performed on the equipment so that any discrepancies with preliminary drawings could be identified. Plant features include:
- Truck Fuel and Water Refill Stations
- Aggregate Stockpiles
- Aggregate Hoppers
- Aggregate Belt Conveyors
- Aggregate/Cement/Auxiliary Bins
- Cement/Water Batchers
- Batch House office
- Mixer Washout
- Detention Pond and Process Water Pumps
Safety, Maintenance, Access, Constructability and Coordination (SMACC™) reviews ensured that the plant features were properly arranged to meet the safety and maintenance needs of plant personnel and to accommodate regular truck traffic. Industrial Ally also coordinated with the Electric Utility Company to locate the incoming transformer and plant power distribution.
